Thanks to Fantha Tracks for reporting on Hasbro’s “pipeline reveals” at San Diego Comic Con 2022. It’s interesting that a “newly tooled” speeder bike is in the works. Collectors have been asking for a speeder bike using the 2012 version but a new one is even better. Could it be packaged in a Mandalorian themed box and painted white as seen in the show?
Personally I’m very excited about Admiral Piett getting The Vintage Collection treatment since this will allow for more modern versions of Imperial officers. While it will be great to see Piett get the modern treatment I’m praying to the force that this results in a defiinitive Director Krennic figure so that the main villain from Rogue One is represented properly.
There were TONS of announcements out of SDCC this year as all three of the main Star Wars action figure lines saw new reveals. We’re particularily excited to see Kal Cestis finally make it to The Vintage Collection and we also hope that the Black Series Migs Mayfeld announcement means he has a future as well in The Vintage Collection. If you missed out on Boba Fett’s Slave 1 ship over the years you will have another chance at getting one as a Book of Boba Fett repainted version now called, Boba Fett’s Starship and packed with an exclusive Boba Fett (Tython) figure. And for fans of the Retro Collection, the entire “Original 12” will be available as box sets. Also revealed: a Darth Vader FORCE FX Lightsaber and a new line of Grogu Bounty Collection figures and Halloween comes to The Black Series.

Thanks to Yakface.com who were tipped off by In Demand Toys, we have our first look at the convention exclusive The Vintage Collection box set featuring characters from The Mandalorian. So far opinions are fairly split between collectors who see very little new and others who like the idea of a sort of ‘Instant diorama.” No word yet on cost or when or where it will be available.
