Star Wars The Vintage Collection Ahsoka Tano (Corvus) VC222

Who knew back when we first met the young padawan sometimes called “Snips” by her master, would appear years later as an adult on a Star Wars figure card titled “The Mandalorian?” Thank the force she has because it’s one of the best Star Wars figures (okay we’ll say it) EVER!

Titled Ahsoka Tano (Corvus) after her appearance in Season 2 in an episode called, “Chapter 13: The Jedi” this figure does an incredible job of allowing for near-limitless posing and for recreating actress Rosario Dawson’s face. It may not be Hot Toy level accuracry but it’s surely one of the best we’ve seen from Hasbro in the 3.75 scale since they began using their “Photo Real” technology.

The face sculpt looks both serene and serious, depending on how the figure is posed. Ahsoka’s outfit is faithful to her on-screen appearance and Hasbro has done a great job of reproducing her pants (“jodpers” according to Mrs Tarkin). They are sculpted rather than soft goods and they look very natural in various positions.

Ahsoka also comes with two lightsabers, one long and one short. The sabers are “white” in colour to reflect that she is not a Jedi Knight. There is a white hue to the clear plastic which helps with their accuracy. The saber hilts feature great detailing and fit well in the figure’s hands. The great thing about having two sabers is it also helps in balancing the figure more easily.

If there’s one complaint to have it’s that Hasbro did not include the poncho we see Ashoka wearing in the episode. People have been making do by using the cloak from the Vintage Collection Rey (island Journey). We never picked up that figure so we’re using one from “Major Panno” (The Legacy Collection 2009). It’s not bad, but again, we would have liked one to have been included.

Apart from that, as we said earlier, this is one of the best modern Star Wars figures ever and it’s a must for any collector.
